McMurdo EPIRB HRU Hydrostatic Release Unit

This 'BreaktHRU' - Hydrostatic Release (HRU) Kit from McMurdo is smaller than other HRUs currently available & unique in its use of a small pyrotechnic charge which enables the EPIRBs to automatically float free.

Complies with the latest SOLAS and IMO resolutions
Fits the footprint of existing HRUs
Allows release of a beacon from a Category I bracket when submerged in water between 1.5 – 4 metres (4.9 - 13.1 ft)
 
A complete HRU Replacement Kit for the McMurdo E3, G4, Precision, Rescue, E5 and G5 models of EPIRB that are contained in a CAT-1 Float Free Housing, and also the KANNAD Safelink 406Mhz EPIRB in a CAT-1 Float Free Housing.
